J. Brian Gomillion joined Briggs Properties, LLC, in 2016 as Associate Broker. He has been a REALTOR since 2008 and REALTOR / Broker since 2009. He holds the National Association of REALTORS Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®), NAR's GREEN Designation, and Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE) designation. Brian also has the NAR's At Home With Diversity® (AHWD®), Broker Price Opinion Resource (BPOR), and e-PRO Certifications. Brian currently serves on the Central Mississippi Association of REALTORS Government Affairs Committee and has served on the Multiple Listing Service Technology Committee.
Gomillion was named one of the Top 40 under 40 in Business by the Mississippi Business Journal and Leake County Man of the Year. He is an Eagle Scout and has been recognized as a Mississippi Economic Development Council Volunteer of the Year. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Millsaps College.
Gomillion is currently serving as Mayor of the Town of Walnut Grove. In his involvement with the Mississippi Municipal League, he has served as Small Town Conference Committee Chairman, Board of Directors, and Executive Committee. He has been elected twice to the Board of Aldermen and twice as Mayor of the Town of Walnut Grove.
He is a graduate of the Mississippi Economic Council’s Leadership Mississippi program, a 2015 graduate of the John C. Stennis Institute’s State Executive Development Program, and one of six mayors selected for the inaugural Mississippi Mayors’ Forum. Gomillion graduated from the Certified Municipal Official program and is a member of the East Central Mayors’ Association.
Mayor Gomillion has served on the Public Education Forum Board of Governors, president of the Leake County Development Association, president of the Leake County Chamber of Commerce, and continues to be an active volunteer in many other service organizations. He serves as a trustee and treasurer of Walnut Grove United Methodist Church.
Prior to becoming mayor, he worked as Director of Communications and Special Projects for an electric utility, a senior consultant for a financial information technology firm, and with the United States Postal Service. He is a Certified Power Executive.
Brian is a member of Walnut Grove United Methodist Church where he has served as Trustee, Lay Leader, Music Director, Pastor-Parish Relations Chair, and currently Treasurer.
Susan Stewart has been an licensed Mississippi agent since 2007. She began with Lost Rabbit Land Company specializing in residential housing.
Susan is graduate of Mississippi College. She joined Briggs Properties in 2013.
James T. “Tim” Mood is a Yazoo County native and resides in Benton, MS. He is a 1982 graduate of Manchester Academy and received both B.S. and MBA degrees from Mississippi State University (1986, 2011) in Agricultural Economics and Master of Business Administration.
He is a 1996 graduate of the Mississippi School of Banking at the University of Mississippi and a 1999 graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. He is also a graduate of the Mississippi Economic Council’s 2008-2009 Leadership Mississippi class.
Mood currently is employed as a Bureau Manager in the Community Services Division for the Mississippi Development Authority. Mood has held his Mississippi Salesperson License with Briggs Properties LLC since 2005.
Mood is an avid hunter and recreationist and is married to the former Lynn Fouche of Benton and has two children Tanner and Marlee. Mood specializes in commercial and residential real estate sales.
